I used to be a big fan of Toyota. They used to have a simple but good looking design. I still think the older tacomas, pre 2005, are some of the best looking trucks around.
Toyotas are no longer the unbreakable cars they use to be. Now add in the very plain styling and you have a car only non car enthusiast could love.
Take a look at what Edmunds Insideline says is the new Camry. Looks like a stretched Corolla to me!

I just read a few articles about the Totoya Rav 4 Electric Vehicle. When I saw the headline I was interested to see the details. I was surpised to hear that the range would only be about 100 miles. I am not sure there is a public audience for this.

2012 Toyota Celica?
Looks like Toyota will bring back the Celica model, but only outside the US. I am not sure why Toyota has taken this tact, especially since the Celica was always known as a fun, sporty and somewhat inexpensive car to own and drive.
Inside the US, Toyota will market this car as a Scion (FT86?). It seems to me that we have been looking at teaser photos and reading rumors since day one. I hope Toyota and Subaru can get these cars to the dealerships soon. They seem to be getting old already!
